What changed in DeckCraft v0.8.0
- Click-triggered slideshow animations, with per-slide state and hit testing.
- Nine PowerPoint exit effects import as themselves, and .potx / .ppsx declare their template and slide-show main part.
- An eyedropper in the colour menus takes a colour straight from the slide.
- Copy and Cut put text on the system clipboard; linked pictures are written with r:link so PowerPoint resolves external images.

Source, licence and building

DeckCraft FAQ
Can DeckCraft present a .pptx that a client sent?
That compatibility is the target. Confirm on one deck with animation and embedded video before building a conference presentation on it.
Does it export video?
Not documented as an export target in v0.8.0's notes, which cover click-triggered slideshow animation, PowerPoint exit-effect import and clipboard behaviour instead. If the deliverable is a file, export PDF or images; if it has to be video, keep that step in another tool until upstream says otherwise.
Is there a web player?
No hosted player; export to PDF or images for link-based sharing.
