Why it exists
Search results full of look-alike sites
Interest in the Craft suite brought a wave of domains that present themselves as the official or fastest way to download it. Some host binaries from their own storage; several add claims about AI features, benchmarks and user counts that no upstream source supports. That is a bad trade for everyone: users lose the ability to tell authentic software from a copy, and maintainers lose control of their own project's story.
The alternative is a directory that is deliberately boring about what it does not have. No downloads to host, no numbers to invent, no relationship to imply. Just accurate descriptions, links that go where they say, and an honest note next to every claim about what is unverified.
How pages are built
Method
Every app page starts from the repository: its description, licence file, release tags and asset names, read from the GitHub API and stamped with a verification date. Target products are named because that is how people search — “photoshop alternative open source” describes a job, and the page answers it.
Where upstream states a capability we cannot independently confirm, the text says so. Weaknesses appear on every profile: no collaboration layer, no plug-in ecosystem, format fidelity still moving release to release. A page that lists only strengths is an advertisement, and there are enough of those already.
If you are looking for the suite's own front door: getartcraft.com and github.com/storytold. Those are the official sources; everything on this domain is commentary about them.
