What changed in CADCraft v0.8.0
- RECTANG ignores ortho for the second corner, so the rectangle keeps its intended area.
- Shared CI now covers FreeBSD, Windows ARM64 and Nix checks.
- Control-port input is bounded, and stored paths are followed only locally or on the drawing's share.

Source, licence and building

CADCraft FAQ
Is CADCraft a 3D CAD tool?
No. It targets 2D drafting and documentation. For parametric 3D, look at open-source 3D modellers such as FreeCAD or SolidCraft instead — different projects, different scopes.
Will drawings I exchange with a consultant open correctly?
DWG/DXF fidelity is the compatibility question to test: fonts, linetypes and external references are the usual failure points.
Does it run on Linux?
Yes — AppImage, deb, rpm and flatpak for x86_64 and aarch64, deb and rpm for riscv64, and a FreeBSD x86_64 tarball besides. AutoCAD does not offer any of those natively.
